CoopGetDaCamera is based in Atlanta. Nevertheless, he was born in California. Initially, he was in school for Audio. After one of his teachers suggested he look into videography- he says it became the best part of studying. He mentions graduating AIU in Media Broadcasting.

CoopGetDaCamera met Gutta TV (a successful Vlogger) while staying in an apartment complex during school. Gutta TV currently features exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of Artists such as J Money, Migos, Kodak Black, Blac Youngsta, and Lil Phat. Gutta TV started out in the DVD era.

CoopGetDaCamera’s first gig was an opportunity to film in a club. He was filming during Yo Gotti’s appearance. He admitted that he was winging it. Yo Gotti kept looking at him in confusion. He’d thought being behind the camera was easier. Then, those that were with him began to joke on him for “filming everybody BUT the stars”. Additionally, he said he’d mostly been recording the women in the club. Although it was then that he knew he was going to be a videographer.

Ultimately, he says he was motivated to get into the visual arena by a suggestion from his Instructor. He tried it and loves it. He loves being able to capture moments with his ‘memory machine’.

Directors like Benny Boom are paving the way. So he suggests that upcoming videographers and photographers remember to stay creative.

“Keep working”, he says.

He balances his work and personal life by doing just that. He also enjoys traveling to spend time with his family. However, he mostly works.

He goes on to describe his style of shooting as being a ‘guerilla shooter’. Being a guerilla shooter means that he will get out and go to all lengths to create the best keepsake of your special memories. New best friend? He will be your self-declared- and proven- “human crane” and “human drone”. He has been a guerilla shooter for the past three years.
