EDM producer and DJ Marshmello recently teamed up with singer and songwriter Khalid to create a sensational song called ‘Silence’. Marshmello released the official audio two days ago, in which Khalid hints at the abuse he faced in a relationship and he’s ready to talk about it now.

Marshmello was first recognized internationally in 2015 after remixing songs by Jack Ü and Zedd. He later collaborated with artists including Omar LinX, Ookay, Jauz and Slushii. His song “Alone” was featured on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. His musical style includes groove-oriented, synth and bass-heavy electronic dance music. Marshmello posted his first song ‘WaVeZ’ on his SoundCloud page as an original mix. His career took off after he began releasing tracks online, including remixes of Zedd’s ‘Beautiful Now’, Jack Ü’s ‘Where Are Ü Now’, his own single ‘Alone’ and others. He recently made it to Forbes’ list of 2017’s highesr-paid DJs after earning $21 million in the year preceding this June.
Khalid is signed to Right Hand Music Group and RCA Records. His debut single ‘Location’, released in 2016, has made it at number 16 on the US Billboard Hot 100 which is highest-charting single and has gone platinum.
